Feedback for the draft Screen Sector Strategy 2030 closed on Friday 8 May 2020. A total of 270 submissions were received. SPADA’s members were very active in their engagement with this draft document with individual meetings and papers being submitted over the last few weeks.
The Facilitation Group is aware of the concerns voiced to date regarding the timing of this Draft Strategy due to the impact of COVID-19 on the screen sector, as well as the impact on the drafting of the strategy which was all done pre-COVID. The SPADA Executive outlined its reservations regarding the draft directly with the Facilitation Group, as well as took the opportunity to submit the attached feedback.
SPADA is now working on an Insurance Underwriting Paper. This work, together with immigration, is key to getting our sector back up and running.
