Miranda Harcourt is an acclaimed acting coach, actor, writer, director and producer. With over a decade working as an acting coach on series and films all over the world Miranda has worked with renowned actors and directors including Jane Campion, Peter Jackson, Dev Patel, Nicole Kidman and Saoirse Ronan, on projects such as Lion, Big Little Lies, and Top of the Lake. As an actor Miranda is a five-time finalist for Best Actress or Best Supporting Actress at the NZ Film and Television Awards, and has twice been awarded Best Actress at the Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards.
Miranda has developed a screen naturalism approach based on years of writing and performing Verbatim theatre in prisons in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. She spent seven years as the Head of the Acting Department at Toi Whakaari - New Zealand Drama School, and Miranda is the co-director and co-producer of feature film The Changeover (2017). In 2002 Mirand Harcourt was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to the theatre and the community.
